Space to connect, create, and breathe.

Illness and recovery can feel isolating. Therapy & Recreation brings clients together in a safe and caring environment for activities that support well-being, confidence, and connection.

About the department

The Therapy & Recreation Department was established in its current form in May 2015, continuing the work of the former Patients' Association.

The department works closely with PWF's psychosocial team and trained volunteers. Activities take place at the PWF center in Scharloo and, from time to time, at other locations.

What the activities support

  • Reducing isolation
  • Meeting people with shared experiences
  • Relaxation and enjoyment
  • Personal development
  • Discovering or rediscovering talents
  • Building confidence during illness and recovery

How to participate

Participation is usually discussed as part of a client's guidance with a PWF social worker. The social worker can explain which activities are available and whether they match your needs.
